Both Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton submitted their fees well in time ahead of the June 14 primary in Washington, D.C., but only one made it to the ballot.
Hint: It wasn’t Bernie.
The situation will be remedied as DNC officials have called the issue a “minor dispute” and said it can be corrected with an emergency meeting of the D.C. Council, according to DNC Chairwoman Anita Bonds.
The problem isn’t that situation can and will be remedied. The problem is that this exemplifies where Sanders stood in the eyes of the party when all of this was being taken care of early in the campaign.
It is a reflection of what many see as a DNC coronation of Hillary Clinton and no intention of taking Sanders seriously. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz certainly scheduled the debates on off-days and hours to practically guarantee low viewership.
That must also be a “minor dispute”.
It’s much more like a major telltale sign of intent that hasn’t even been swept under the carpet but instead blatantly played out for all to see.
