How to Heal Injuries after Raids
- Use Medical items to heal.
Medical items in this game help players restore limbs, ensure positive conditions, replenish character health, etc. There are lots of medical items that can prepare your character for the next raid. Some of these medical items include Analgin painkillers, Morphine injector, Augmentin antibiotic pills, Aseptic bandage, Ibuprofen painkillers, Army bandage, AI-2 medkit, CMS kit, Vaseline, etc.
All these items are at your disposal to heal after a raid before attempting another one. - Buy healing items from the Therapist.
If you die after a raid or survived without HO, you can get healing items from the Therapist. However, if you’re below the fifth level, you can use the service for free, but if you’re above level 5, you’ll pay for the healing.
The Therapist offers healing services at a different rate depending on the injury. If your character is bleeding, you’ll pay lesser than when the character has a fractured limb.
Also, the Therapist sells cases, medical supplies, food, keys, and information. So, apart from healing your character after a raid, you can also get some other good stuff there. - Upgrade your Hideout
Upgrading Hideout is another way to heal after a raid. You can rest in the shelter and do so many out-of-raid processes to help your character. There are many Modules in the hideout, but the important ones for your injured character are the Medstation, Water Collector, and Heating.
The Medstation provides a first aid kit, help your health to regerate faster. The Water Collector helps you recover when you’re dehydrated, while the heating helps to regenerate your character’s energy. - Get a Grizzly First Aid Kit
One of the best medical items to help your healing is the Grizzly Med Kit. There are other ones in the game, but the GMK is the best, according to players. This kit has all the items you need to recover after your tough raids. Even when the condition is dire, you can rely on the Grizzly Med Kit to recover. You can use it to heal body parts damaged during the raid. It also helps in healing fractured bones and stopping Bleeds.
The best part is that the kit is cost-efficient for players to heal their characters after a raid. To buy the Med Kit, you will spend ₽49,836, and every round you use it expends 1800 health points and ₽28. Amongst all the First Aid kits in the game, Grizzly costs lesser to use. The places where you can find the Grizzly Medical Kit include Sports bags, Buried Barrel Caches, Weapon Box, Medbag SMU06, etc.
Apart from the Grizzly First Aid Kit, there are other kits that can ensure off-raid healing. The few in the game include the AI-2 medkit, Car first aid kit, Salewa FIRST AID KIT, and IFAK Personal tactical kit. While all these Kits are great, Grizzly is more economical.
Conclusion
Escape from Tarkov has a good health system that you can use in the game and after the raid. There are also ways to heal while playing. But if you didn’t achieve that, make sure you heal after one raid before rejoining another raid.
Note, if you’re limping to the extraction point when one raid is ending, you’ll also limp in the next raid. Every injury you sustain in the game has unique effects on your character. For instance, if you sustain fractures on the legs, your speed will drop by 45%. You can’t jump well, and sprinting attempts will cause more damage to your legs. This is similar to a fractured left arm. Once you’re injured, your speed of searching and using items will drop by 67%.
The good thing is that you can use the Surv12 field surgical kit and the CMS Kit to heal damaged body parts. However, if you die in the Escape from Tarkov raid or just decided to miss during the action, you’ll see yourself on the main menu.
