At a Trump rally in North Carolina, law enforcement officers were escorting 26-year-old protester Rakeem Jones out. As they were doing so, 78-year-old John McGraw, seen with a cowboy hat and ponytail in the video, just reached out and punched him.
Why McGraw wasn’t arrested on the spot remains a mystery, while Jones was handcuffed and detained. McGraw has since been charged with assault and disorderly conduct.
This is typical behavior at Trump rallies as crowds yell racial epithets and slurs at protesters and physically assault them. Similar incidents are being investigated in Kentucky and another rally in Florida.
As the old saying goes, your right to swing your fist ends at another’s nose. Trump’s “fans” would do well to study up on the Constitution – at least, those who can read.
